Who is responsible for your data

The enquiry form

When you send an enquiry, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the programme you are interested in and your message. We also record when it was sent and the IP address it was sent from.

We use these details only to reply and, if you decide on a course, to arrange enrolment. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): processing at your request before entering into a contract. We use the IP address to protect the form from abuse, on the basis of legitimate interest (point (f)).

Enquiries are not stored on the website. They reach us by email and stay in the mailbox while they are needed to reply and arrange enrolment. We delete enquiries that did not lead to enrolment, and on request we delete them straight away. To protect against automated sending, the IP address is stored temporarily in an unreadable (hashed) form for no more than 10 minutes.

Who else processes the data

The website and the form run on Cloudflare, Inc., which forwards enquiries by email. We receive email through Gmail (Google) and send replies through Resend (Resend, Inc.). All three companies are based in the United States, so data may be transferred outside the European Union. Such transfers rely on standard contractual clauses and, where the company is certified, on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.

The map on the Contact page

We show the Google Maps map only after you click "Show map". Google then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy. Without the click, the map does not load and nothing is sent to Google.

Cookies and analytics

The website uses no cookies, analytics or advertising tools.

Log of robots and AI services

We log visits by automated programs that read the website, such as Googlebot or ChatGPT's robots: the IP address, the time, the page opened and the program's name. These records show us how search engines and AI services read the site.

When you arrive by clicking a link in an AI service (for example ChatGPT), we log the time, the page, the service you came from and the browser type, without your IP address. We do not log other visits. The legal basis is legitimate interest (point (f)). We delete these records after 90 days.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest. Just write to jezici@happymelody.hr, and we will reply within one month.

If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (azop.hr).
